Onboarding Process (Architects and Contractors)

Please ensure that architects and contractors can upload necessary documents such as Aadhaar and PAN cards. The system should be flexible regarding file size and format (e.g., PDF, JPG, PNG), but with reasonable and clearly communicated limitations to ensure smooth operation and security. We can start with a Google Form for collecting these details, which sends information to my email id, as initially discussed.

Real Estate Functionality

The platform currently lacks comprehensive real estate functionality, such as client demands for rental accommodation or options for renting and selling properties. To address this initially, we may need to implement Google Forms to collect these details.
Important Note for Real Estate Transactions: For both selling/buying and renting properties, we will clearly state that parties (home sellers, buyers, tenants, and owners) are responsible for arranging their own legal counsel to complete all necessary paperwork and to verify property facts independently. ChiefEngineer.in will facilitate the connection but will not be involved in the legal aspects of the transaction or property verification.
Looking ahead, it would be ideal to automate the matching of requirements as the business grows, but this can be a later development phase.

In such instances, the project/work shall be formally closed, with accounts settled transparently, including all architectural fees, actual costs of materials procured and used, contractor dues, and our professional service fee.

Service Fee Structure:

ChiefEngineer.in operates as an aggregator, connecting clients with various professionals including architects, structural/electrical/civil/mechanical engineers, contractors, material manufacturers, interior designers, and horticulturalists.
Our service fee will be a percentage of the actual total project cost.
* An initial rough estimate will be provided at the beginning of each project.
* Important Note on Cost Projections: Our cost projections are meticulously prepared as per standard engineering practices and industry benchmarks, ensuring true project costs, assured quality, and structural safety. While our initial estimates may appear comprehensive compared to some preliminary quotes you might receive, this reflects a commitment to full transparency and avoiding hidden costs. Many projects can face unforeseen cost and time overruns when initial estimates are unrealistically low or lack detailed planning, often compromising quality and structural integrity. With ChiefEngineer.in, you gain complete transparency, predictable budgeting (based on verified actuals), and guaranteed professional oversight from start to finish.
* Valuable Advice for Clients: To save both time and cost, we strongly advise our clients to “freeze” all building drawings, designs, and material specifications upfront before construction begins. Frequent changes during the construction phase are a primary cause of cost and time overruns.
* The final settlement will be based on the actual, verified cost upon completion of the work. We understand that the actual cost may vary, particularly if clients request changes in design, drawings, or material specifications. For the initial few projects, these variations might occasionally exceed 20%, as we refine our processes. However, we anticipate these variations will be more consistent and within the stated 20% range after the completion of a few more projects.
* To maintain full transparency, any excess funds deposited will be promptly refunded, and conversely, any shortfall will need to be covered by the client upon final reconciliation.
